Progress Report 3: July 2025

Progress Report

If you follow us on Bluesky, you may have already heard that we're making dongs now.

It's been about 15 months since we first announced our intent to open a fantasy toy shop, and 6 since we soft-launched with our squish. And now it's actually happening. The fantasy toy shop is finally making toys.

As of writing this post, we have 2 of our 3 initial Everyday Goblin sizes successfully molded, with plans to re-mold the last one this coming weekend.

We want to get multiple pours of each size done in order to test the molds and refine our techniques. Items that pass all quality checks will join our inventory for an upcoming restock.

There's also a lot of site-related stuff to do, both in preparation for another restock, and to get ready to release the Everyday Goblin. We've decided to adjust our Grand Opening Plans slightly (revisited below) and add the Everyday Goblin to our lineup early :) We currently do not have a date for our next restock or for the Everyday Goblin's release. We are hoping we'll be able to do it in July, and will update accordingly.

Our Grand Opening Plans - revisited

At this time, we still do not have a date planned for the Grand Opening aside from 2025.

The List:

☑ At least a three-size lineup of the community-sourced model, Everyday Goblin
☐ At least one three-size lineup of one of our own insertable designs
☐ Another Fiendly squish
☐ Both sizes of our collaboration grinder model
☑ Expanded shipping to include international locations (we hope to expand to even more in the future).

And this is the extremely simplified version. We have all the steps broken down much further for our own use and it's... a little overwhelming😅But we've been making some equipment upgrades and gaining more and more experience in all facets of our process. Soon, we're hoping to have improved methods for finishing our masters, which should significantly reduce processing time and allow us to add new models to our lineup faster!

One Last Thing!

We've completed lineart for the Everyday Goblin. At this time, we do not know if/when we might be able to offer complex custom pours (like handpainting, drips, etc.). However, we still want to provide the tools for you to dream up your perfect Everyday Goblin. We'd love to see any ideas you have to share! (Tag us on Bluesky! We're @needfulfiends.com)

(eventually we'll store our lineart somewhere more intuitive on the site, but he's here for now ♥)
